The Story
To prove Kenyan craft belongs on the global stage
Sable & Ochre began in a small Nairobi studio in 2021, born from a single conviction: that clothing made slowly, by hand, carries something mass production never can. We work with Kenyan cotton and naturally dyed fabrics, drawing our palette from the land itself — the deep sable of volcanic soil, the warm ochre of the savannah at dusk. Every piece is cut and finished by a small team of tailors we've trained and grown with. We don't chase trends. We make garments meant to be worn for years, to soften and tell a story with time. For us, sustainability isn't a marketing line — it's the only way we know how to work: small batches, local materials, fair hands, and nothing wasted.
